[The feed opens to...an Abra. A sleeping Abra. Pretty normal Abra, actually. The camera follows the rise and fall of its little chest with an assiduity that almost seems alarming.]

I am gonna get this little sucker.

[That stage whisper would be Luke, who pointedly sets the camera down, presumably so that Johto can see how awesome his capture of his Abra will be. Somewhere close by, Zorua makes a long-suffering sound.

--and there Luke rushes forward, going in for the grab, only for the Abra to make its escape and leave him faceplanting against the ground.]

[A moment of silence, please. Zorua giggles.]

[Luke glowers at his pokemon, red-faced and expression flinty.]

This stupid thing's been running from me all morning! Why won't it stay in one place like a normal pokemon?! Zack, what do I do?!

[Someone might wanna mention that...there's more than one Abra.]

Your Zorua? As far as I know, they don't learn any sleep causing move. And what's your "stupid fish"? A Magikarp?

[Either tell Luke about Gyarados and pump him up... Or "conveniently" forgot to tell him that just for his reaction?

[Luke clips the 'Gear to the front of his belt, giving Takuto a better view of the impending fight and freeing his hands.]

[What, he's not just gonna switch the 'gear off and not have you do any work, Mr. Advisory Board.]

[At his cue, Zorua springs forward through the grass, as if to Tackle the Snubbull; the other dog, slightly older, sees it coming and braces--only for Zorua to flicker aside and slam into its back, a Faint Attack. Snubbull rolls away, and comes back up with Scary Face. Zorua shrinks back--even Luke gasps a little, because yikes, those eyes--and darts in to Lick its opponent.]

[Zorua's resistant to Ghost-type moves, but that doesn't prevent it from getting paralyzed. With shaking limbs, Zorua struggles to land a Pursuit on the Snubbull's flank.]

Hey! I think this one might work!

[Luke, your pokemon's ass is getting kicked.]

[#priorities]

[Guess. >D]

I don't have time! I have to catch this stupid pokemon!

[Nice type moves are super effective against Luke.]

It's--it's a surprise, yeah. Kind of.

[Siiiigh. Keeping up this facade is tough.]

[Well what do you know. It can paralyze... not that Takuto knows anything about that, but it obviously slowed down Zorua.

... who seems to be in small trouble.]

That's great but... try to catch it before your Pokémon gets knocked out.

[And Cecil's learned every single one of them, thank you Move Tutors.]

In that case, I wish you luck. I hope they'll love their present.

[Luke doesn't stand a chance.]

You really think food is gonna work?

[Luke's cheering is brought to an abrupt halt by Takuto's comment.]

Uh--right! C'mon, Thing, do something!

[Best trainer ever, amirite?]

[Zorua manages to roll away from an incoming Tackle, and digs his claws in as his opponent passes. Snubbull cries out against the Fury Swipes, but Zorua holds it long enough for Luke to toss a pokeball.]

[Wiggle!

Wiggle!

Wiggle!

~~Yeah.~~ Snubbull was caught!]

All right! [As he moves to retrieve both the pokeball and his Zorua from the grass, Luke unclips the 'gear and gives Takuto a frown.]

This had better work.

Hah! Thought you were going to get that sucker for a moment, pal.

[ Guess who's looking all smug and amused at this feed here. Wow, Luke. You actually tried to capture one yourself? Granted, Korra got her Magikarp the old fashioned way... by diving into the waters herself and getting one. And though it is a Magikarp, IT WAS STILL SUCCESSFUL. ]

Even teleporting Psychic-types feel hunger every so often. I'd recommend berries or sweets, for better results.

[Holding back the urge to comment on "Thing". Why would you call your Pokémon that.]

I'm sure it will. [Except he's not that sure, but hey it's better than nothing.] Just use the same move that made your Pokémon slower...

Woah, that's a cool looking Pokémon! Are you really going to catch it, Luke-kun?

[He can't catch any of his because his Absol doesn't want him to. ): Because Ryoji wouldn't train them anyway and that is a w a s t e or something.]

[A beat.]

...I guess I'll give it a shot.

[Translation: thank you, kind sir, for such a wise piece of advice.]

Do your best. I've no doubt you'll catch it, sooner or later.

[...Well, maybe not that exact Abra...]

Shut up! Why don't you try it, and see how well you manage!

I would, if it'd only stay still for a second.

[He sounds bitter. How much dirt has he eaten today, exactly...?]

[He actually returns Zorua to his pokeball, which is rare, and sets off in search of The Lone Abra. Yes, he honestly thinks there is Only One. :|]

Yeah, well, it better show up, or else.

[Is Luke blushing? He looks uncomfortable. Either way, he nods, and cuts the feed.]

[He is a pretty princess, after all.]

I don't care if it wants to get caught or not! I'm gonna catch it whether it likes it or not!
