Screaming only makes it worse when your Magikarp first evolves. [Well, she read up on them and while those sounds were a little suspicious, Cheria can at least take a guess on the Pokemon having it's adjustment period; Magikarp are so much more docile than Gyarados, after all.]

You need to give it time to adjust. A lot happens when they evolve, after all.

This is why she never makes public videos about her Gyarados, who acts like she's about to eat her trainer all the time and yes, she's had it for ages. By the way, putting an enraged Gyarados back into its ball is nearly impossible. And that tiny girl scream is amusing. Utau grins smirks.]

[Clearly, after Luke, nothing surprises Ren anymore.]

[Even with a type disadvantage, the freshly-evolved Gyarados is wounded easily by the more experienced Houndoom. Dizzy from the attack, she submerges herself in the water of the small lake, before coming up in a rush of water, using her much larger tail to splash a whole torrent of water at the fire-type. Luke scrambles out of Fish's warpath, fumbling for his pokeball.]

Just--distract her for a minute!
